Second Attempt

Well after several helpful comments, there seemed to be a recurring theme regarding the "1-K." I thought it was kinda catchy how the 1 and the K merged together, but then again I see how it might not make sense unless you understand what your are looking for/at! I played around with the colors a bit and put it against a black background (which is what will be on the website). Overall, I'm very pleased with how it's turned out thus far and may not make any more changes. The reason I'm steering away from the first 4 designs (previous post) is because I don't want to be know as 1K Photography and want my original name, A Thousand Words Photography, to be part of the logo. I also want something that's easy to watermark and easy to brand my pictures with. Clear as mud? Anyway, that's the scoop - so check out the new design.

What's New...

I'm starting to feel the pressure of getting the logo onto the FINAL stages and getting the web-site up and running. With the recent change of events in our household, I really need to make use of the resources I have here in RC to get the design work completed, or close to it. I met with John on Friday to "draw-up" the new logo idea and work on getting an "under construction" page set up under my URL. Ya'll need to let me know what you think about the logo. The colors aren't right yet, so bear with me on that, but check out the design itself and give me your feed back. I'm puttin' the feelers out on this, so don't be afraid to give me your honest opinions! I'm excited to see what you think!

Word-O-Mouth

So I did my first photo shoot at the home of complete strangers! The W- Family was my first "word of mouth" client given to me by my previous clients. It was very nerve racking but exciting at the same time. They graciously welcomed me into their home and I went right to work...if I can call it that! After several poses, wardrobe changes, and compaq flash cards later, we had ourselves a successful shoot! I'm excited to see what you all think about the progress of my work. Even though it was still a learning process for me (too slow of shutter speed, light positioning issues, etc.) it definitely gave me a boost of confidence once I saw the final product. There's nothing like feeling overwhelmingly proud of something you've created, yet so humbled by how God blesses us with talents! I pray that I can use my work to Glorify and Praise Him, and hopefully the rest will just fall into place.
